Privacy Policy
How this site handles information, and the choices you have. Last updated August 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Vehicle VIN Search, operated by All Vehicles Data(a registered trade name (sole proprietorship)) based in Alberta, Canada, which runs vehiclevinsearch.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, and shares information, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, contact us at privacy@vehiclevinsearch.com.
Which privacy laws apply
We operate from Canada and serve visitors in the United States, so more than one privacy regime can apply. As a Canadian business we follow Canada’s federal privacy law (PIPEDA), and because we serve U.S. residents we also honor applicable U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. In practice we collect very little personal information, so the same simple choices below cover your rights under these laws.
Information we collect
We designed this Site to collect as little personal information as possible.
- Analytics data. We use privacy-first, aggregated analytics to understand how the Site is used — for example, which pages are popular and roughly where visitors come from. This analytics is cookieless and is designed not to identify you personally or track you across other websites.
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive the contents of your message and your email address so we can respond.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may process standard technical information such as your device type and approximate region to serve pages and maintain security.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
How we use information
We use the limited information we collect to operate and improve the Site, understand which content is useful, respond to your messages, maintain security, and comply with our legal obligations.
Partner links and “sharing”
The Site contains affiliate links to partners such as Bumper. When you follow one of these links and take an action, a click identifier may be shared with that partner and its affiliate network so the referral can be attributed to us. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar state laws, this kind of activity may be considered “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out of this at any time (see Your choices, below). We do not sell your personal information for money.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Our own analytics is cookieless. Where any cookies or similar technologies are used, they are limited, and you can control partner tracking through the opt-out described below. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise a right, contact us at privacy@vehiclevinsearch.com. Your specific choices include:
- Do Not Sell or Share. Use our Do Not Sell or Share control to turn off the partner tracking used to attribute affiliate links.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out and apply it automatically.
- Requests. Email privacy@vehiclevinsearch.com to make a request about your information. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Third-party sites
When you click a link to a partner or other third party, you leave our Site and are subject to that party’s own terms and privacy practices. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for how those parties handle your information, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Children’s privacy
This Site is intended for adults shopping for a vehicle and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, and we take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
